I made you so high in my mind that no one could compare
Gave you my best
Tried to make your every word known to me
So many things you opened my eyes for
All of them now left in shame
I thought you were my friend
Fate turns and your face splits in two
The other side is what I now see
My pride now low
The hatred grew
I had you near my heart
Now you tore it through
This blood bled hot with a tint of black
You see that this blood is slowly changing to a bitter cold
I do not wish death on you
Nor any harm
For I know you
And he will see
That your two faces are hard to dodge
In the end your actions will lead to another heart killed
I helped you
Stayed in there through the dark times as you did for me
Now it seems that fate made this happen
That I would see your true faces
And show me that I can no longer trust another
For before I never did
You only proved my point
But this took a big part of me
One I cannot reclaim
I erase you
...
...
...
...
I erase you from my heart forever without a tear
I have taken someone dear to me and thrown them away, I do not like it when Lies are spread about me...

You write with such emotion and so much power and depth...how can you say that only emptiness abides inside... ~ L ~

I love this.

Truly, I do.
It is beautiful and dark.

Ha. I can understand. Believe me, I can. I wrote a poem for a best friend. He was pretty much everything and I set him on this pedestal. Turns out, he was nothing like I thought he was.

Yeah, people are hard to see for who they really are sometimes.

Yep. It sucks, but in the end it only makes the deceived stronger.

Well in some yes, but it is by chance. Makes some weaker, susceptible to fall under it again. Depends mainly on the person it happens to really.

I do not think it makes you weaker. If you survive something, it makes you stronger. It can weaken defenses, but ultimately you learn from what has happened. It hurts for a short amount of time, but even that pain makes you a bit stronger.
I suppose it is possible to say that the weaker ones die.
But in that case I find that to be natural selection.
